When can I wear a hat or cap after hair transplant?
You can wear a hat or cap after 10 days. We strictly do not recommend wearing anything, such as beanie, hat or cap before you complete 10 days.
Can I wear hard hat , helmet after my FUE procedure?
We will provide you a plain, black hat in loose shape. You can wear that one. Please do not wear anything else as there would be risk of contact with the recipient region which may damage the hair follicles implanted, during the first 10 days. If you work in construction, work as motorcycle courier or work in an another job which requires you to wear a hard hat or helmet we STRONGLY suggest you to take 14 days off work.
When can I cut my hair after my hair transplant operation?
Donor region and sides: After one month, with scissors or trimmer with a clipper on. Recipient region: After one month only with scissors. After three months, you can use trimmer with a clipper on.
Do I have to use any product after my FUE hair transplant procedure?
In hair transplant procedures, we do our best at every operation and use the most sophisticated instruments and surgery solutions available in the world to make sure our patients receive the optimum results. But, a hair transplant operation results the best when the hair growth is supported with right products; such as an organic shampoo, dietary supplement, whey proteins, etc. Although all these products are optional, we recommend them. Can I used a baby shampoo after my hair transplant operation?
Yes. Between the 14th day to 45th day, you can use baby shampoo. After this, we recommend using 100% organic shampoos, ideally targeting hair growth.
I noticed some thinning patches are untouched, why is this?
In hair transplant operations, it is a better idea not to do a touch-up on a region which has minimal hair loss, or only less than 40% hairs are shed. Although we use very tiny microsurgery devices to penetrate the scalp, there is still a good chance to damage some native hairs and the patient is left with a very similar result as the beginning with minimum improvement.
Do I need more ATP bottle after the hair transplant surgery?
No. The ATP spray is useful only during the first 5 days of your post-operation, until each hair follicle is anchored to the skin and the relevant blood vessel.
I have soreness after the hair transplant operation, is this normal?
Yes. You have had a surgery, therefore some sort of soreness and discomfort can be felt during the first 10 days of this operation and will fade in time.
When can I use hair fibres such as Toppik?
Dr. Tayfun suggests that you stop using hair fibres at leasts for 2 months after the hair transplant surgery.
I notice some hairs are attached to scabs and come off when washing, shall I be worried about it?
No, this is very normal and expected. Those are only hairs, not hairs with roots. This happens after the operation as you are switching to the Telogen (dormant) phase. This has no effect on your final result.
Can I go to gym after hair transplant?
You can start working out one month after your operation as you shouldn’t sweat in excessive levels during the first month.
When can I shave my donor region after hair transplant surgery?
There isn't a stric rule and the suggestion changes from doctor to doctor. Our doctors suggest that you shave your donor region after 2 months.
Can I use my fingertips when shampooing?
After the 8th day, you can use fingertips gently (not nails) on recipient region to help scabs fall off and the blood circulation increase.
Can I go under sunshine after my hair transplant?
You can have sunbath 1 month after your operation. We only recommend 15 minutes of contact with sun during the first month. If you live in a country with very strong sun please avoid being under the sun for long intervals during the first month.
I notice hair falling when washing my hair, is this normal?
This is normal. It can happen at several phases; such as during the first 14 days, 2 to 4 weeks of post-operation. A regular shedding would also happen due to the nature of a hair cycle.
My scalp is red after my FUE procedure - is this normal?
This is normal and happens in every case. This is mainly happens due to the tension on scalp. At the end of the day, we have worked on your skin and opened many holes, therefore a skin reaction at the beginning is normal. This will fade in time, and may take couple of weeks only.
Can I take painkillers after my hair transplant operation?
Yes. We will provide you several of them, but if you require more painkillers due to a headache, you can continue taking painkillers.
My head is itchy after my FUE procedure - what can I use for this?
You can use Aloe Vera based creams for itching.
I have swelling on forehead after hair transplant, is this normal?
Yes. In almost every case, swelling is expected on forehead during the first 3-5 days of your hair transplant procedure.
I notice excess of fat and skin after washing my hair, what can I do?
Please use your fingertips when washing your hair for a thorough cleaning, without pressing on hard.
When can I swim after the hair transplant surgery?
You can start swimming one month after your hair transplant operation.
When can I shave my hair , transplanted area?
Do not shave the transplanted area with machine for 3 months, you may cut it with scissors 1 month.
When should the scabs fall off by?
All scabs should fall of latest 14 day after the hair transplant.
Can I drink alcohol after hair transplantation?
Please avoid drinking alcohol for 7 days after the hair transplant.
When can I dye my hair after hair transplantation?
You may dye your hair minimum 6 months after the hair transplantation.
When I can have sex?
Sexual contact is not recommended for 1 week.
Can I smoke after hair transplantation?
Please avoid smoking for 7 days after the hair transplantation.
